Dualchas Building Design

As part of the Six Cities Design Festival, Scotland’s biggest design festival, Dualchas architects Neil and Alasdair Stephen gave a presentation on their work to a packed audience at Inshes Church in Inverness in May.

Dualchas is all set to deliver a mixed housing development of 31 dwellings near Loch Fyne, Argyll. Dualchas has worked closely with the local authorities and client, from sketch scheme through to planning application, to design a low-cost, mixed material, sustainable scheme. A minimum-impact strategy, to protect this beautiful coastal site, has been key to the development of this project.

Dualchas Building Design has begun work on a mixed new build and restoration project for an outdoor centre at Glenborrodale on Ardnamurchan. The design will incorporate a new sports hall and accomodation. A feasibility study has recently been completed. It is anticipated that planning permission will be applied for this summmer (2007).
