Trein Brae, Carbost (2007)

This house has a stunning view up Loch Harport on the west coast of Skye which is captured by large full-height windows.  The living area is dominated by an American black walnut-clad partition which, defining the dining room and lounge, rises up the double-height space to form the balcony to the office mezzanine.

There are two large bedrooms, an office and a luxury en-suite bathroom upstairs, accessed by a beautiful oak stair at the entrance.  The luxury is completed by a large walk-in dressing room off the downstairs master bedroom.  The entire wall of the bedroom is glazed, looking up the sea loch, past the village of Carbost and Talisker distillery.
