Refurbishment - Hammersmith, London (2001)

This four storey dilapidated Victorian terraced house was gutted, the old single storey extension demolished and a two storey extension built. New rooflights bring light deep into the plan. The ground floor now houses the family sitting room with massive ash doors, the kitchen and dining space. These lead out into the small walled garden.

A beautiful bathroom was created above the dining space and the first floor bedrooms were restored to their original proportions. Extra wide stained pine floor boards, a polished plaster fireplace, black walnut shelves and desk are features of the living room and study on the second floor. The top floor bedroom and bathroom with a terrace and views over the Thames was gutted. Bleached floors, a polished plaster headboard hiding a wardrobe and walnut drawers and bathroom joinery complete a stunning house.
