In June 2025 a team from an American network channel visited Neil and Laura at their house in Achnacloich on Skye. This was to make an episode for their series Lakeside Retreats. The weather wasn't great, as can be expected, but the animals, and children, were on their best behaviour for the couple of days of filming.
Neil and Laura discuss some of the ideas behind the house design, how the weather and landscape is such a part of daily life, and the privilige of living in a beautiful corner of Scotland. They also managed to persuade Neil to go in to the sea with the kids while the wind was picking up. We normally save those adventures for more benign days.
